Dear Parents, Students, Staff and Visitors,

Dear Parents, Students, Staff and Visitors,

Since we began as a middle school in 2007, our school has grown tremendously. We are currently located in a beautifully renovated building in the heart of downtown Brooklyn, and since September 2015, we completed our transition to full High School status.

Despite our steady growth, we continue to be a small school—providing full academic and support services to our students, making sure we pay close attention to the developmental needs of a teenage population, and preparing everyone for college and career experiences in a global world.

Another major milestone that we have reached since our foundation is the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme accreditation. This was a three-year process completed in April of 2015. Becoming an IB school—an internationally acclaimed program and a school-wide reform model—will continue to increase the academic and holistic aspirations of all our students.

We are fortunate to have an active parent body and a wide variety of passionate and unique community-based organizations that support and enhance our work, and the academic experiences of our students.

Thank you for visiting our website, and if you would like any further information about our great school, please feel free to contact us!

Speak to your guidance counselor to learn more about how to apply to KGIA.  We are a limited unscreened school, and priority is given to students who attend an information session.
